Aedo
Ispirato dalle Muse, Aedo era il cantore dei poemi e della mitologia greca Antica.
Gli Aedi, accompagnati dal suono della sua cetra tramandarono le epopee prima della tradizione scritta.
Essi avevano una funzione di memoria storica, conosceva e raccontava le cose che furono, che sono e che saranno. La sua musica e canto, oggi rappresentati da quest’opera ci ricorda una tradizione lontana nei secoli ed al tempo stesso ci fa sognare un futuro migliore.
Inspired by the Muses, the Aoidos was the singer of Ancient Greek poems and mythology. The Aoidoses, accompanied by the sound of their lyre, narrated the epics before the written tradition.
They had a function of historical memory, they knew and narrated the things that were, that are and that will be. His music and singing, today represented by this work, reminds us of a tradition that goes back centuries and at the same time makes us dream of a better future
“Aedo” is a piece made of glass, measuring 220×82 cm, with a base and steel rod.
The Aoidos, inspired by the Muses, were the Ancient Greek poets and singers who narrated poems and mythology. Accompanied by the melodic sounds of their lyre, they recited epics long before the written tradition began. Acting as preservers of historical memory, the Aoidos knew and recounted past, present, and future events. Their music and songs, symbolized in this artwork today, serve as a reminder of a centuries-old tradition while also inspiring dreams of a brighter future.
